Common Questions

Quick answers to what homeowners ask most. Each service page has a few more specific to that work.

Are you fully insured?

Yes. Engle Wash Co. carries liability insurance on every job, and proof is available on request.

What areas do you service?

Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, West Palm Beach, and nearby communities throughout Palm Beach County. Not sure if we cover your street? Send the address with your estimate request and we'll let you know.

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes. Every estimate is free and there is no obligation. Most can be quoted from a few photos; otherwise we come out and look.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not for exterior work, as long as we have access to the work areas and an exterior water source. Interior window cleaning is the exception.

How should I prepare?

Move vehicles, furniture, cushions, decorations, and fragile items away from the work area. Close windows and doors, unlock gates, and keep pets inside.

Do you use the customer's water?

Usually, yes. We connect to an available exterior water source such as a hose spigot.

What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses force and is right for durable surfaces such as concrete driveways and walkways. Soft washing uses low pressure and cleaning solutions for more delicate exterior surfaces such as stucco, paint, and siding. Many homes need both.

Are all stains guaranteed to come out?

Organic growth such as algae, mold, and mildew generally cleans up well. Rust, oil, efflorescence, oxidation, and hard-water staining may require specialty treatment and cannot always be completely removed. We'll tell you what to expect before we start.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We'll communicate and reschedule if weather conditions would affect safety or results. Light rain usually doesn't stop a job; lightning and high winds do.

How often should exterior cleaning be done?

It depends on the surface and its exposure to shade, sprinklers, and trees. Many Florida homes benefit from a wash every one to two years and a driveway cleaning every year or two. We can recommend a maintenance schedule after inspecting the property.
